MULTIPORT CARDS FOR RS-232/442/485
With extensive experience in multiport serial card development, Moxa is able to offer one of the most comprehensive selections of industrial grade multiport serial cards on the market. We offer serial cards for a variety of slot types, from ISA to PCI Express (PCIe) to PC/104.
SERIAL INTERFACE CONVERTERS
Moxa serial media converters enable seamless communication of these devices with various other serial interfaces. Serial-to-serial converters help with conversions between RS-232 and RS-422/485 interfaces, and Serial-to-fiber units can convert all three interfaces to optical signals.
COMMUNICATION CONVERTERS AND CONTROLLERS
Industrial networks are composed of devices communicating over different types of interfaces and protocols. In order to connect these devices into one network, communication converters and controllers are needed. These are freely programmable or configurable converters or communication gateways offering different types of interfaces such as LAN ports, RS 232/422/485, CAN, PROFIBUS, etc. The software of these converters performs protocol conversion, data logging or simple preprocessing.
GSM/GPRS INTERFACE
Moxa’s industrial mobile solutions are designed for WWAN (Wireless Wide Area Network) communication with serial and Ethernet devices over mobile networks. With the growing demand for more bandwidth over mobile connections, Moxa’s WWAN solutions have expanded to 4G LTE, enabling mobile devices to deliver live video streams anywhere, anytime.
ADAPTERS FOR SPECIAL INTERFACES
In addition to standard computer interfaces such as LAN or RS232/422/485 serial ports, special so-called fieldbus buses are used in industrial automation. The best known are PROFIBUS, Profinet or CAN in automation networks and GPIB for connecting measuring instruments in laboratory and test systems. Our range includes adapters for special interfaces to connect these special industrial fieldbuses to computers or control systems based on computer architecture.
